A police constable posted at the District Reserve Police Line in Jhabua has been accused of sexually assaulting a seven-year-old girl. The incident allegedly took place on Saturday. According to the police, at the time of the incident, the victim girl was playing with other children. During this, the accused lured the girl into his house by offering chocolate, where he committed indecent acts with her. The investigation also revealed that the accused had previously committed similar acts with the girl and had been intimidating and coaxing her with chocolates to keep quiet. When the mother arrived looking, her elder daughter was not seen
According to the FIR, the victim, her sister, and the accused’s daughter often played together. On Saturday too, all three were playing. During this time, the victim’s mother arrived there, but the elder daughter was not visible. When called, the child came out of the accused’s house looking scared. Seeing her condition, the mother questioned her strictly, and then the child narrated the entire incident. Family members reached the police station with the child
After this, the family members took the child to the police station. Considering the seriousness of the matter, the ASP and SDOP also reached the police station.
