Members of a Hindu organisation in Ratlam claim they seized beef from a motorcycle allegedly involved in smuggling. In protest, they blocked the road and surrounded the motorcycle near the Bajna Bus Stand, leading to tension in the area. Police reached the spot and are trying to pacify the protesters. The incident occurred on Sunday, when Hindu conferences were being held in 47 wards to mark 100 years of the RSS. The cow protection group said it had received information about beef smuggling the previous night and had been searching for the motorcycle since then. The motorcyclists were finally caught in the morning at the Bajna Bus Stand. Protesters said there were three to four motorcycles. Three people fled with their motorcycles. One motorcycle was seized, but the rider managed to escape. Meanwhile, CSP Satyendra Ghangoria, Industrial Area Police Station In-charge Satyendra Raghuvanshi, DD Nagar Police Station In-charge Anurag Yadav, Hat Ki Chowki In-charge Pankaj Rajput, along with police force, are present at the spot. Protesters say that the bike which was caught had two sacks of beef on it. One of these has been sent to the veterinary hospital for investigation, while they are sitting at the spot with the other sack. An official of the Gau Raksha Dal says, Such incidents are happening continuously, but the administration covers them up. Hindu conferences are taking place, which is why the cow mother has been deliberately killed. We demand that an investigation should be conducted on the spot and the culprits should be apprehended.
