Aspiring to become a doctor and serve her community, a young Baiga tribal student appealed to the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. Yadav took a personal interest in her case assured her of all possible government support. CM was on a visit to Sidhi on Friday when the student tried to meet him. However, due to high security, she could not reach the CM directly. Speaking to the media present at the venue, the student broke down in tears and said, “I belong to the Baiga tribal community. I want to become a doctor, but my father does not have enough money. I sought help from the MLA, MP and even the collector, but no one listened to me.” Who is the student? Anamika Baiga, a resident of Sidhi, is preparing for the NEET examination and has sought financial assistance for coaching and hostel facilities to continue her studies. Video reaches CM, immediate response A video of Anamika’s emotional appeal soon reached the Chief Minister. Taking note of her situation, Dr Mohan Yadav directed officials to take immediate steps to help her pursue her education. CM’s assurance on social media On Saturday morning, around 11 am, the Chief Minister shared a post on his Facebook account, saying, During my Sidhi visit yesterday, daughter Anamika Baiga requested assistance for her education. On receiving information, it came to my notice that Anamika is preparing for NEET and needs support for coaching and hostel facilities. Necessary arrangements have been instructed. Once she secures admission to a medical college, the state government will provide all possible assistance. I am fully confident that one day daughter Anamika will become a renowned doctor and bring pride to Madhya Pradesh.
