A pet dog at the Chief Minister’s House in Bhopal attacked two staff members on Thursday, leaving them injured. Both were rushed to hospital and given treatment, including anti-rabies shots. The incident comes amid nationwide concern over rising dog attacks, recently flagged by the Supreme Court. Incident at CM House The incident took place at the Chief Minister’s official residence in Bhopal. A pet dog suddenly turned aggressive and attacked two employees. Who were injured The injured staff members are dog trainer Ranjit and cook Kripashankar Mishra. Both suffered bite injuries during the attack. How the attack happened According to sources, trainer Ranjit was handling the dog as part of his routine work. The dog became uncontrollable and attacked him. Cook Kripashankar Mishra rushed in to help but was also attacked. He suffered deep bite wounds at three to four places on his hands and feet. Medical treatment Both injured employees were immediately taken to JP Hospital. Doctors gave them first aid and administered anti-rabies vaccines. Their condition is reported to be stable. Supreme Court context The incident has surfaced at a time when the Supreme Court has made strong observations on dog attack cases across the country. The court has expressed concern over public safety and rising incidents. Political reaction Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar reacted sharply to the incident.
