I urge you that if you perform your duties by visiting the offices of political parties, then remember that a Congress worker knows how to correct your working style. Petition to file a case of culpable homicide not amounting to murder against officers Bhagirathpura resident Ramoo Singh has filed a fresh petition seeking registration of an FIR against officials responsible for deaths caused by contaminated water. His lawyer, Dilip Nagar, said the plea states that residents have been consuming contaminated water for the past two years. In 2024, a young woman died after drinking polluted water, following which a note sheet was issued to replace the Narmada pipeline, and tenders were floated. However, the then Municipal Commissioner and current Indore Collector Shivam Verma allegedly suppressed the tender, and his successor Dilip Yadav also failed to clear it. After continued illnesses and deaths, the tender was finally approved on December 30. The petition demands registration of a culpable homicide case against the responsible officers and their removal from posts until the probe is completed, alleging promotions were given despite the deaths. The court has directed the Banganga Police Station in charge to investigate the matter and submit a report by January 24.
