A 20-year-old priest in Ujjain narrowly escaped death after a Chinese kite string cut his neck. He was rushed to hospital, underwent a two-hour operation, and received 10 stitches. Accident details Vinay Tiwari, 20, from Zirapur in Rajgarh district, lives in a rented house in Jaisinghpura, Ujjain. On Sunday evening around 6 PM, he was riding his bike home carrying some items. A Chinese kite string (Chinese manjha) got entangled around his neck. He was soon covered in blood. During a two-hour operation, pieces of the kite string were removed and 10 stitches were applied. Vinay’s life was saved due to timely treatment.
