A couple in Guna committed suicide by consuming poison. The minor girlfriend died during treatment on Sunday night. Upon hearing the news of her death, the boyfriend fled from the hospital. On Monday morning, his body was also found in the colony. The two had been in a relationship for a year. According to Cantt Police Station, 25-year-old Ganesh Rajak, a resident of Rashid Colony, was in a relationship with a 16-year-old neighboring girl studying in eighth grade. On Sunday evening around 6 PM, when the girl’s mother and brother arrived home, she was vomiting. Her family immediately took her to the district hospital. After treatment, she fell asleep, but around 9:30 PM, she stopped breathing. Along with the girl, Ganesh had also consumed poison. When the girl was admitted to the hospital, he had also arrived there. As soon as he learned of his girlfriend’s death, he fled from the hospital. On Monday morning, his body was found lying in Rashid Colony. He was brought to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Family members said – it was agreed to marry them when they became adults
The girl’s family alleges that on Sunday, when no one was home, Ganesh brought poison and gave it to the girl. Both consumed the poison there, after which Ganesh left. The family members said that both belonged to the same community, so there was talk of getting them married when they became adults. Meanwhile, Ganesh’s brother Jaipal said that they were unaware of this love affair. Police handed over the bodies to the family members after post-mortem.
