A shocking case of matrimonial fraud and sexual exploitation has surfaced in Indore, where a man posing as a government officer married six women one after another through matrimonial sites. His web of lies finally collapsed after an Indore court sentenced him to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment in a rape case, prompting his sixth wife, a Madhya Pradesh Police lady constable, to come forward with fresh allegations. I am speaking from Indore Court. Your husband has been sentenced to 10 years in a rape case. On the afternoon of December 13, Madhya Pradesh Police Lady Constable Kajal (name changed) received this call. At first, she thought it was a prank, but the seriousness of the voice left her stunned. Within moments, the ground slipped from beneath her feet. Unaware of past even after marriage Just a few months earlier, Kajal had married a government officer with great pomp in Indore, dreaming of a secure future. She had no idea that her husband was already accused in multiple cases and had destroyed the lives of several women before her. When Kajal began probing the matter herself, she uncovered a horrifying truth, the man she had taken seven vows with had already victimised five other women. She has now filed the sixth rape and fraud complaint against him at Sanyogitaganj police station, Indore. Deceit began on matrimonial website Kajal met Raman (name changed) in March this year on a matrimonial site. He claimed to be a Food Safety Officer, projected good behavior, and said he belonged to the same community, factors that convinced Kajal and her family. As meetings increased, Raman started pushing for an early marriage. Whenever Kajal’s family insisted on meeting his family, he avoided it, claiming they were not yet ready, while emotionally pressuring Kajal by saying he could not live without her. Trusting him, the family solemnized the marriage at an expensive garden in Indore. Call from exposes second wife Everything changed on December 13. When Kajal rushed to the Indore District Court, officials informed her that Raman had been convicted in a two-year-old rape case and sentenced to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment. The case was filed by Anjana (name changed), another woman Raman had married by hiding the truth. Anjana accused him of rape, fraud, and marrying her while already having a wife. Anjana’s side of story Mobile phone unmasks 4 more marriages After registering the case, Anjana moved to Indore in May 2023. Raman stayed with her briefly before leaving, citing family illness. When he returned in July 2023 and was again asked about divorce, he assaulted her. That night, Anjana secretly checked his mobile phone. What she found was devastating. Raman had already married four other women before her, had three children, and had even married another woman in April 2023, making Anjana his fifth wife. When confronted, Raman brutally assaulted her, forced physical relations, and threatened to kill her brother and leak obscene photos. Showing immense courage, Anjana informed her brother and sister-in-law. Case that sent him to jail On November 22, 2023, a case was registered against Raman at Hira Nagar police station, Indore, under serious charges including rape, unnatural sexual relations, fraud, and criminal intimidation. The Indore court later found him guilty and sentenced him to 10 years in prison. Police reveal a fixed criminal pattern Police investigation revealed Raman followed a consistent pattern: Using this method, Raman married six women one after another. His crimes came fully to light when his first wife appeared with their children. After the court verdict became public, his sixth victim, Kajal, filed a fresh rape and fraud case on December 18 at Sanyogitaganj police station, Indore.
