Former Madhya Pradesh minister Deepak Joshi is facing a major controversy over his personal life after three women came forward claiming to be his wife. What began with wedding pictures on social media has now escalated into accusations of conspiracy, honey trap allegations, and plans for legal action, drawing attention from both political and public circles. Wedding photos trigger public controversy The issue came into the open on December 4, 2025, when Pallavi Raj Saxena, former state secretary of the Mahila Congress, shared photos on social media. The images showed Deepak Joshi applying vermillion (sindoor) to her hairline, suggesting marriage. Soon after, two other women — Namrata Joshi and Shikha Joshi — also claimed to be Deepak Joshi’s wife. This led to widespread debate over who his lawful spouse is. Shikha Joshi comes out in defence Amid the claims by three women, Shikha Joshi has openly defended Deepak Joshi. She described the entire episode as a planned conspiracy and alleged that her husband is being deliberately framed. She said she would protect the dignity of her sindoor and mangalsutra till her last breath and firmly stated that her husband is innocent. ‘This is not coincidence, it is a conspiracy’ Shikha took a strong stand and directly accused Pallavi Saxena and Namrata Joshi of plotting together. She claimed both women are close friends and questioned why such allegations never surfaced before 2025. She asked why the controversy erupted suddenly when she has been married to Deepak Joshi for years without any prior disputes. Allegations over hotel meeting and viral photos To support her claims, Shikha made a serious allegation. She said Pallavi and Namrata were recently seen together at a hotel, sitting, eating and appearing relaxed. She questioned how, after such meetings, Deepak Joshi’s name suddenly became part of a public scandal. Honey trap accusation and legal action plan Shikha went a step further and alleged a honey trap. She claimed that a group of four to five people is working together to trap her husband. She said she is not making baseless claims and is fully prepared to fight the matter legally. Shikha has begun the process of filing a complaint with the Cyber Cell in Delhi. She said call records, messages and digital evidence will be examined to bring out the truth. Claim of threats after initial congratulations Shikha also made allegations against Pallavi Saxena’s behaviour. She said Pallavi initially congratulated her after her marriage. Later, Pallavi’s tone allegedly changed, and she threatened Shikha, saying she did not even know her. At one point, Pallavi reportedly claimed she did not know Deepak Joshi either. Links alleged to social position and honours Shikha questioned the timing of the controversy and linked it to her rising social recognition. She said she recently received an important position within the Sangh. She also mentioned being awarded the ‘Hindu Ratna’ honour on November 23, with another award expected in Delhi soon. According to her, this may have triggered attempts to damage her and her husband’s reputation. Impact on Deepak Joshi’s mental health Shikha said the controversy has deeply affected Deepak Joshi. She claimed he is mentally disturbed and anxious, unable to understand how the situation escalated. She added that she is ready to take the matter to the highest level if required. Deepak Joshi breaks his silence Deepak Joshi also responded through a video message. He said public figures must be careful in personal and public life. He admitted that mistakes may have been made but denied any dishonesty. Referring to his political ideals, he said mistakes deserve atonement. Leaving the matter to the law, he stated that if he is guilty, the law will punish him, and if innocent, the truth will prevail.
