17-year teen beaten to death while performing puja in Betul:15 goons thrashes him with rods and spades; last video captures his dying statement

In Betul, a 17-year-old minor was brutally assaulted with rods, shovels, stones and sticks, and died late Wednesday night while undergoing treatment at the district hospital. Before his death, the minor stated to the police, describing the entire incident. The incident occurred in the Ganj area. The victim, Vivek Markam (17) of Kala Patha, was worshipping at Sagoun Baba Darbar when Aniket alias Annu Thakur, along with 10–15 associates, arrived, forcibly took him to Chunnidhana, and severely beat him. During the assault, Vivek was seriously injured and fell unconscious on the spot. Nearby people informed the police. The injured was admitted to the district hospital late in the evening.

Reaching the spot, the police took the injured person to the hospital, but doctors could not save him.
