A shocking case has come to light in Neemuch on Saturday. Lakshmi, a 25-year-old resident of Nai Bawal village, consumed poison due to social taunts and pressure created regarding her second marriage. According to family members, Lakshmi had married Praveen three months ago for her second marriage. Before this, she was married in Rampura about seven years ago. Praveen alleges that people from the community, upset about the second marriage, called a panchayat on December 6. In this meeting, the community president Karulal Regar, vice president Mohanlal Regar and other officials imposed a fine of 9 lakh 50 thousand rupees on the husband and wife and announced a decision to exclude them from the community for 14 years.
