Armed attackers shoot young man in Bhopal, condition critical:Victim was returning from a wedding with family; sister wife also attacked with knife

A young man was shot and seriously injured in a late-night attack in Bhopal’s Eit Khedi area. Four attackers opened fire as he was returning home from a wedding with his family. The victim suffered multiple bullet wounds and is in critical condition. His wife and sister were also injured while trying to save him. Victim in critical condition The injured man has been identified as 28-year-old Danish Ali. He was shot two to three times in the leg and stomach. Danish was rushed to Chirayu Hospital in Malipura, where his condition remains critical. During the assault, Danish’s wife Rimsha and his sister tried to intervene. The attackers stabbed both women on their hands, causing injuries. They are currently receiving medical treatment. Attack linked to earlier threat Danish works as a railway parcel contractor and lives in the Station Bajaria area. Police sources say several criminal cases were previously registered against him. On Thursday, Danish reportedly had an argument with a local goon named Roosi at a function. During the clash, Danish allegedly abused Roosi. Roosi openly threatened to kill him and said he would “teach him a lesson within 24 hours”. Attack planned on the road The incident took place around 11:30 pm on Friday. Danish was returning from a reception in the Eit Khedi area with his wife, sister and children. The attackers allegedly blocked his car by parking another vehicle in front of it. As soon as the car stopped, they opened fire. The first two bullets reportedly missed. Later shots hit Danish in the stomach and leg. After shooting Danish, the attackers also used knives and daggers. When his wife and sister tried to stop them, they were stabbed. The incident created panic in the area. Accused named by family Family members have accused Shannu Vazandar and the Russian gang of carrying out the attack. After committing the crime, the attackers fled the spot. Police reached the hospital late at night. They recorded statements from the injured family members. A search is underway to arrest the accused.
