Two people were killed and a woman seriously injured in a house in Anuppur. The victims were attacked with a sharp weapon on their heads and faces. The incident shocked the villagers of Lakhanpur. Police have begun an investigation, and a dog squad is on site. Incident discovered on Wednesday morning The incident happened on Wednesday morning in Lakhanpur village. The first to discover the scene was the farmer’s son. He found blood-soaked bodies inside the house and immediately informed the Kotwali police. Victims identified The deceased have been identified as Rajendra, also known as Bablu Patel (40), and Seema Baiga (25), the household maid. Rajendra Patel’s wife, Roopa Patel (38), was found seriously injured and has been admitted to Shahdol Medical College. Seema worked in the Patel household. Crime scene details The farmer’s body was lying on the floor. The maid’s body was on the bed, covered in blood. Roopa Patel, the injured wife, was found inside the same room. Police officers are present at the scene, and the dog squad is assisting in the investigation. SP Moti Ur Rahman confirmed that two people were murdered and one woman seriously injured. Son returns from field Alok Patel, the son of the deceased, shared details of the discovery. “Our family farms. I went to the field around 11 PM on Tuesday night with the tractor. We are building a permanent house, so everyone was sleeping in the open veranda,” he said. “This morning, when I returned home, I saw my father lying on a veranda pillar, covered in blood. The maid’s body was on her bed. My mother was in a serious condition. She could not speak. She has been referred to Shahdol Medical College. My younger brother, Ayush Patel, aged 8, was sleeping inside the house. He has no information about the attack,” Alok added. Police investigation underway The police have cordoned off the area for investigation. Officers are gathering evidence to determine the motive and the identity of the attackers. The presence of a dog squad suggests they are looking for any signs of forced entry or escape routes. SP Moti Ur Rahman said, “We are treating this as a serious case.
