A middle-aged man, Anil Mehra, Block Coordinator of Jan Abhiyan Parishad, died after a speeding car hit him during a morning walk in Badi Khairi village, Mandla district. The accident occurred on December 6, around 7 AM, near Yogiraj Hospital on Dindori Road. CCTV footage shows Anil Mehra walking along the roadside in dense fog when a maroon/red car coming from behind hit him forcefully. The car stopped briefly, and its occupants got out, but they fled the scene soon after. After the accident, the injured Anil Mehra lay on the road for about half an hour. Later, residents took him to the hospital, where he died during treatment.
