Indore achieves over 70% voter list revision:ECI Secretary chairs direct meeting with Booth Level Officers-Supervisors

Indore district has made significant progress in the special intensive revision of its voter list, with over 70% of the work completed. Vinod Kumar, Secretary of the Election Commission of India (ECI), lauded the efforts during a review meeting, emphasizing transparency, teamwork, quality, and effective use of technology in the process. EC Secretary praises Indore’s progress Vinod Kumar expressed confidence that if the current pace continues, Indore will achieve its target within the stipulated timeframe. He highlighted that the innovations implemented in the district are exemplary and could serve as a model for other districts. During the review meeting held at the Collector’s office on Monday, Kumar interacted directly with booth-level officers and supervisors, taking feedback on area-wise progress, challenges faced, and offering guidance to resolve issues. He encouraged the adoption of successful practices from one constituency to others to make the campaign more effective. Remarkable speed and quality of work The Secretary noted that earlier progress had been relatively slow, but the recent acceleration in both speed and quality of work in Indore was commendable. He urged officials to make maximum efforts to achieve timely completion, stressing that voter list revision is a crucial part of the democratic process and must be carried out responsibly. District voter list status Indore district has a total of 28,67,294 voters, out of which 20,13,850 voters’ information has been digitized, marking over 70% completion of the revision process. Assembly-wise progress: The review meeting was attended by Additional Collector Deputy District Election Officer Navjivan Vijay Pawar, Assistant Deputy District Election Officer, Joint Collector Ajit Srivastava, and other officials. Work continues at high speed The district is expected to complete the voter list revision ahead of the scheduled deadline, maintaining the pace and quality that has been demonstrated so far.
