Dhirendra Shastri labels social media as ‘Social jihad’:Addresses religious event in Shivpuri; says, ‘The aim is to build Bhagwa Hind, not Ghazwa-e-Hind’

Bageshwar Dham head priest Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri has sparked controversy with his remark, saying, ‘If a ‘Chachcha’ can have thirty children, why can’t Hindus have four? We will not let this country become Ghazwa-e-Hind; we have to make it Bhagwa Hind, and we don’t need Parliament for that.’ Shastri made the statement during a ‘Chai Par Charcha’ interaction with the media ahead of his ongoing Shrimad Bhagwat Katha in Shivpuri, which began on Thursday. During this, he said- We have not set out to enter politics, nor to form a party, nor to support any party. This foot march is only for Hindu unity and Sanatan unity. There are many ways to enter politics; a foot march is not needed for that. Advocacy for adding Gita-Bhagavata-Ramayana to curriculum
Pandit Dhirendra Shastri advocated for adding Gita-Bhagavata-Ramayana to India’s curriculum. He said that India’s curriculum should include such scriptures that guide the youth in the right direction. If Gita, Bhagavata, and Ramayana are added, the youth will find the right direction. Many books consider only people of their own religion as human and call others infidels. Sanatan Dharma is not like that. It talks about ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ (the world is one family). Therefore, ‘unifiers’ should be added to the curriculum, not ‘dividers’. Shastri urges reform, targets extremism On the families of terrorists killed in Delhi suicide attacks, Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri said followers of Islam should focus on educating their children, urging them to ‘make your children Abdul Kalam, not terrorists,’ adding that those unwilling to do so ‘can go to Lahore.’ Commenting on doctors accused in the Delhi blasts, he called it the “desperation of terrorist organisations,” saying some people ‘eat the country’s food and search for the moon in the tricolour, while we want to see the tricolour on the moon.’ Shastri calls for population steps Shastri appealed to Hindu families to “keep two children with them,” send one for national service, and give another to sadhus and saints who would work for the Hindu nation.
