On Thursday, 27 November 2025, the Indian stock benchmarks created history. The 50-company Nifty reached all all-time high of 26,295.55 points on intraday. The 50 constituent index’s record closing high stands at 26,216 points (made on 26 September 2024). While, the Sensex 30 rose 300 points to 85,893.26 points at opening. The 30 constituent barometer’s record closing high stands at 85,836 points. Financial stocks lead Sensex rally: The top Sensex stocks that rose higher at opening were Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv, Asian Paints, LT, HUL, ICICI Bank, Titan, HDFC Bank, Infosys, etc. Nifty Financial Services rise most On the sectoral front, most of the major indices barring consumer durables, IT, psu bank, realty and oil gas traded with gains. On 26 November, Foreign Investors (FIIs) bought shares worth ₹4,969 crore. Domestic Investors (DIIs – our country’s large funds) made purchases worth ₹5,984 crore. This month so far – FIIs have sold shares worth ₹12,449 crore. Meanwhile, DIIs have bought shares worth ₹68,994 crore. This shows that the market has more support from domestic investors.
