President Murmu unveils Constitution in 9 new languages:Hails triple-talaq ban as historic; Kiren Rijiju says, ‘It is not just a book; it’s our way of life’

The country is celebrating Constitution Day today. A program has been organized in the Central Hall of Parliament to mark the occasion. The President is presiding over the ceremony. The Constitution will be released in nine new languages. The Hindi version of the Ministry of Culture’s souvenir, “Art and Calligraphy from the Constitution of India,” will also be released. The Vice President, Prime Minister, Speaker of the Lok Sabha, Union Ministers, and Members of Parliament from both Houses of Parliament are attending the program. The Speaker and Vice President will address the House shortly, after which the President will deliver her address and read the Preamble to the Constitution. The Constitution will be released in these nine new languages. The Constitution of India will now be available in nine vernacular languages: Malayalam, Marathi, Nepali, Punjabi, Bodo, Kashmiri, Telugu, Odia, and Assamese. This will help more people in the country read and understand the Constitution in their own languages.
