A robbery took place at a jewellery shop located in Katra, Mandla, between 8 and 9 PM on Thursday. At Ayushi Jewellers, located opposite the Panchmukhi Hanuman Temple, masked assailants shot the shop owner, Ayush Soni, and looted a bag full of jewellery. Shop employee Bobby Yadav stated that Ayush Soni was packing jewellery to go home when four robbers arrived in a car. Three entered the shop, one stayed in the car, showed a pistol, snatched a bag from an employee, and took a jewellery box from Ayush.
