The benchmark Indian stock indices Sensex and Nifty inched towards their respective peak highs in early trade on Thursday, 20 November 2025. The 50 constituent index had made an all-time closing high of 26,216.05 points on 26 September 2024. While, the 30 stock gauge had made its record closing peak of 85,836.12 points and hit all time intraday high of 85,930 points. While, the record intraday peak of the broader index was made of 26,277.35 points on 27 September 2024. Currently, the Sensex is trading at the level of 85,300 with a gain of more than 100 points. Similarly, the Nifty is also up by about 50 points, trading at the level of 26,100. Banking and energy shares are seeing gains today. Meanwhile, IT and pharma shares are under pressure. Thursday is the second day of Excelsoft Technology’s IPO, which will remain open for bidding until 21 November. This book-built issue is worth ₹500 crore, which includes a fresh issue of 1.50 crore shares worth ₹180 crore. Additionally, there will be an Offer for Sale (OFS) of 2.67 crore shares worth ₹320 crore. The price band has been set at ₹114-120 per share. Markets closed in green for last 2 trading sessions
Earlier on 19 November, the stock market was bullish too. Sensex closed at 85,186 with a gain of 513 points. Nifty also gained 142 points and closed at the level of 26,052.
