The Indian stock markets near all-time high levels on Monday, 17 November 2025 on the back of improvement in corporate earnings for the July-September quarter 2025 and global tensions easing. The Sensex is trading at the level of 84,800 with a gain of more than 200 points, during the early trade. The Nifty is also up by more than 50 points, trading at the level of 25,950. Banking, auto and energy shares showed more strength. Mixed global sentiment Foreign vs Domestic Investors On 14 November, Foreign Investors (FIIs) sold shares worth ₹4,882 crore, while Domestic Investors (DIIs – our country’s large funds) bought shares worth ₹8,159 crore. So far this month – FIIs have sold shares worth ₹13,652 crore, DIIs have bought shares worth ₹41,352 crore. ExcelSoft Technology’s IPO to open from 19 November ExcelSoft Technology’s IPO will open on 19 November and close on 21 November. This book-built issue is worth ₹500 crore, which includes a fresh issue of 1.50 crore shares worth ₹180 crore. Additionally, there will be an Offer for Sale (OFS) of 2.67 crore shares worth ₹320 crore. The price band has been set at ₹114-₹120 per share. Market showed strength on Friday Earlier on Friday, 14 November, Sensex closed 84 points higher at 84,562, while Nifty ended 31 points up at 25,910. PSU Bank sector gained 1.17%, Pharma sector rose by 0.59% and Banking sector showed an increase of 0.15%.
