A new video has surfaced in the murder case of 25-year-old Jai Singh Tomar from Mohnapura village in Morena district, showing former sarpanch Ramkaran Singh Tomar and his family members assaulting him with sticks. Jai, who was critically injured, was referred to the Gwalior Trauma Center, where he died during treatment on the night of November 12. He was scheduled to be married on November 22. Threat issued days before killing According to the family, former sarpanch Ramkaran had threatened Jai days before the assault, telling him, ‘You will be murdered… you won’t survive.’ Jai had reported this threat to the police, but no action was taken. Following his death, police registered a murder case against seven people, including the former sarpanch. Three of the accused have been arrested. Attacked while returning home on November 10 The incident took place on the evening of November 10, when Jai was returning home from the market with jewelry for his upcoming wedding. He was allegedly surrounded by Ramkaran and his family members and attacked with sticks. After sustaining severe injuries, he was given primary treatment and later referred to Gwalior, where he died two days later. Video shows severe assault A video that surfaced four days after the attack shows Jai knocked to the ground as the accused continuously beat him with sticks. Jai is seen pleading with folded hands, while the attackers continue hitting him and surround him from all sides. The clip has since gone viral on social media. Villagers protest, police register case Following the death, villagers staged a protest on November 13 by placing Jai’s body on the highway. Sihonia police have registered a murder case against seven accused, including Ramkaran, Pappu Tomar, Saurabh Tomar, and Ganesh Tomar. Three arrests have been made so far.
