A 12th-grade student in Bhopal, Payal Tilak (17), allegedly took her own life by consuming poison following an argument with her mother. The incident occurred on Tuesday night at her home in Badjhiri village, Ratibad. Her condition worsened, and she was rushed to the hospital, where she died during treatment early Wednesday morning. According to police, Payal’s uncle found her vomiting late at night and asked her the reason, but she did not respond. No suicide note has been recovered. A case has been registered, and investigations are underway. After the postmortem at Gandhi Medical College, her body was handed over to her family. Angry with this, the mother asked her why she did not go to school. When the daughter did not give a reason, the mother scolded her for taking leave without cause.
