History-sheeter paraded with drums, walks humbly:Once thrashed dhaba owners with sticks and shaved his head to escape police after violent assault

Police in Pali took out a public procession of a history-sheeter and his cousin, accused of beating two people inside a dhaba. The two men had shaved their heads to hide from the police, but officers tracked them down using CCTV footage. After arresting them, the police took both accused from the police station to the crime spot, accompanied by drum beats. Wherever the duo passed, people recorded videos on their phones. Both accused kept walking with folded hands. The incident took place on Thursday afternoon in the Industrial Nagar police station area. According to the police, the two had attacked the dhaba staff around 1:21 AM on November 4. The entire assault was captured on the dhaba’s CCTV camera, which later helped police identify and arrest them. Sohan had assaulted Ramesh (48), a resident of Indra Colony, and Raju Puri (45), a resident of Indra Colony, who were sleeping at the dhaba, with a stick. He had also got a video of it made by his accomplice. On Thursday, the police took out a procession with drums from the Industrial Nagar police station to the crime scene. Throughout the way, both accused were limping. People also made videos of them on the way. After that, the police conducted a medical examination of both accused at Bangar Hospital in Pali in the afternoon. Subsequently, a procession of the accused was taken out from Bangar Hospital to the court.
