Women’s World Cup Player of the Tournament, Deepti Sharma, has a special connection with Kota. Her elder brother, Avalesh Sharma, has been teaching physics at a private coaching institute in the city since 2021. Deepti visited Kota this March to meet him. Avalesh revealed that Deepti enjoyed her time in the city, exploring its streets and visiting the River Front. He further expressed his delight at Team India’s victory and Deepti’s all-round performance, adding that their family has been watching match highlights repeatedly for the past two days.
