India’s squad for the upcoming Rising Stars Asia Cup has been announced, with Vaibhav Suryavanshi set to feature in the young side. BCCI revealed the Indian team on Tuesday, with Jitesh Sharma set to lead the India A side. The highly anticipated India vs Pakistan fixture between the A teams of both nations will be played on 16 November. The Rising Stars Asia Cup will be played in Qatar, from 14th to 23rd November 2025 at West End International Cricket Stadium in Doha. Jitesh Sharma to lead India A side Senior wicketkeeper batter Jitesh Sharma will lead the India A side, with 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi also named in the team. Naman Dhir will serve as Jitesh’s deputy. The side includes domestic talents like Priyansh Arya, Vijay Kumar Vyshak, Yudhvir Singh Charak, and Suyash Sharma. Gurnoor Singh Brar, Kumar Kushagra, Tanush Kotian, Sameer Rizvi, Shaik Rasheed have been named in the stand-by list of players. Afghanistan won the previous edition in 2024 in Oman, defeating Sri Lanka by seven wickets in the final.
