Shajapur ASI caught on camera demanding bribe:Claims money goes to SP and ADPO in serious cases; SP orders immediate line attachment

A video has surfaced in Shajapur showing an ASI demanding a bribe. In it, he is seen demanding money from the complainant. He is saying that in serious cases, money also has to be given to the SP and ADPO. ASI Bhanwar Singh is posted at Berchha police station in the district. After the video surfaced, Shajapur SP Yashpal Singh Rajput immediately line-attached ASI Bhanwar Singh with immediate effect. Said – Police take money in serious cases
In the video, ASI Bhanwar Singh said, ‘I have told you, you can directly go and talk to the sir, I have already told you the order I received. Look, these are serious nature cases, they go into investigation.’ The ADPO takes it, the one there takes it, it has to be distributed to everyone. Regarding this, Berchha police station in-charge Bharat Kirar said that the video appears to be old and its authenticity is being investigated. Efforts were made to contact ASI Bhanwar Singh, but he did not answer the phone. SP said – further action after investigation Shajapur SP Yashpal Singh Rajput ordered the ASI to be line-attached, considering the seriousness of the matter. He said the video is being investigated by a senior officer. Further action will be taken based on the investigation report.
