Two men allegedly tried to burn a shopkeeper alive in Satna district by pouring petrol on his grocery shop and setting it ablaze. The shopkeeper, Ramprasad Kushwaha, suffered serious burn injuries. The incident occurred on Saturday evening around 6 PM in Didaundh village, and a video of the attack surfaced on Sunday. Fire set during attack According to police, Bachcha Trivedi and Krishna Trivedi, both residents of the same village, poured petrol on Priyanka Kirana Store and set it on fire. Before the blaze, they allegedly assaulted Ramprasad and his wife Dropadi Kushwaha. The fire quickly spread through the shop, destroying all goods and causing losses worth several lakhs of rupees. They managed to douse the flames and pull the couple out of the burning shop. Ramprasad was first taken to Kothi Hospital, but due to his serious condition, he was referred to Shriji Kanha Hospital on Circuit House Road, Satna. He is currently undergoing treatment there. Case registered against accused Police from Kothi station reached the scene soon after receiving the report. A case has been registered against both accused men. The station in-charge said that teams have been formed to trace and arrest the suspects. He also confirmed that both men already have several previous cases of assault and intimidation against them.
