Haryana Police in joint operation with Indore police busted a fake matrimonial call center operating on Airport Road in Indore on Friday evening. The call center, running under the name “Bharat Wedding Community Matrimonial,” was allegedly involved in duping people under the pretext of marriage. A youth from Haryana was among the victims who lost several large sum of money to the scam. Action based on the Jind cyber police input Acting on a tip-off from Jind Cyber Police, a joint team raided the premises and arrested four accused. During the operation, officials recovered 90 mobile phones, 5 laptops, and Rs 1.40 lakh in cash from the site. DCP Krishnalal Chandani stated that the case came to light after a youth from Jind district lodged a complaint, alleging that he had been cheated with a marriage proposal. Technical surveillance traced the suspects to Aarti Apartment, Flat No. 302, Colony Nagar, Indore. Following this lead, the Jind Cyber Police, assisted by the Aerodrome Police, carried out the raid.
