In Bhopal, a new controversy has started over the upcoming yatra of Bageshwar Dham head priest Dhirendra Krishna Shastri. On November 7, Shastri plans to begin the Sanatan Ekta Padyatra from Chhatarpur to Delhi. However, Damodar Yadav, the national president of Dalit Pichda Samaj Sangathan, has announced that he will file a petition in the High Court on Monday to stop the yatra. Yadav, while addressing a press conference in Bhopal, said that Shastri had already taken out one such yatra earlier, and now he is again planning another, which he has named ‘Hindu Ekta Sanatan Ekta Yatra.’ According to Yadav, Shastri has said that this yatra is being organised to create a Hindu nation, which Yadav believes could spread communal tension.
