A girl aged 17, a student of Class 10, allegedly died by suicide on Wednesday morning at her home located in Hirankhedi village of rural Bhopal’s Berasia, the police said. The girl was identified as Vandana Rajput (17), as per police. She was immediately taken down from the noose and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her dead upon arrival. The Berasia police said that they have registered a case of unnatural death and have initiated an investigation into the incident. No suicide note found: Cops The investigating police officials said that they did not find any suicide note from the spot. Police sources said that the exact reason behind the girl’s extreme step is yet to be determined. The cops are exploring all possible angles, including academic pressure or personal distress. During the scene inspection, a mobile phone was recovered near the girl’s body. The police have seized the device and have sent it to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for examination to determine whether any digital evidence or messages can shed light on the circumstances leading to her death. Body sent for autopsy Another police team from the Berasia police station reached the hospital soon after being informed about the incident. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination, and the report is awaited to establish the time and manner of death. Preliminary investigation suggests no external injuries other than those caused by hanging. The police said that the inquiry will proceed based on forensic and post-mortem findings.
