A shocking case of child abandonment has surfaced in Indore’s Chhoti Gwaltoli police station area, where a couple left their 15-day-old baby on an Amarjyoti Travels bus traveling from Indore to Sanawad. The bus had departed from Sarvate Bus Stand when the incident occurred. According to eyewitness accounts, the couple, believed to be the child’s parents, boarded the bus like regular passengers but got off midway without informing anyone, leaving the infant behind on a seat. Driver and conductor alert police immediately When the bus crew noticed the unattended baby, they grew suspicious and immediately informed the police. Responding swiftly, the policemen of Chhoti Gwaltoli police station reached the spot and stopped the bus near the police station. The child was found safe and was taken into custody for protection. Police send infant for medical care Sanju Kamble, station in-charge of Chhoti Gwaltoli Police Station said the baby appeared to be around 15 days old. The infant was immediately sent to a nearby hospital for treatment and care. The child is now under medical supervision and is safe. the officer said. He added that the police have begun scanning CCTV footage from Sarvate Bus Stand and surrounding areas to trace the couple who abandoned the child.
