BJP faces internal dissent from Gurjar-Lodhi leaders:Long-serving members protest exclusion from ‘Team Khandelwal’, with Vindhya leaders also missing in state executive

After BJP state president Hemant Khandelwal announced his new team, leaders and workers from Baghelkhand and Bundelkhand have expressed unhappiness. Rajesh Pandey and Sharadendu Tiwari from Rewa were removed from the executive committee, prompting a worker to post a photo of Rajesh with VD Sharma on social media, saying, “I wish we hadn’t celebrated VD Bhai Saab’s birthday.” At the same time, leaders from the Lodhi and Gurjar communities raised concerns about their communities not getting representation. They wrote a letter highlighting the issue, which was also shared on social media. Suraj Singh Lodhi, District Vice President of Tikamgarh Backward Class Morcha, expressed his anger on Facebook. Suraj wrote – The leaders of the Lodhi community, who have been working tirelessly for BJP for years, were allowed to rest by not giving them a place in the state list. Thanks to the state organization for that, keep working hard. Sakal Gurjar wrote a letter saying – insult will not be tolerated
On the other hand, Sakal Gurjar has written a letter saying that the Bharatiya Janata Party has not given representation to the Gurjar community in the state executive. This insult will not be tolerated. This has caused anger and resentment in the Gurjar community. People of the Gurjar community live in 18 Lok Sabha and 131 assembly constituencies of the state, and a large number of them are associated with the BJP. It is surprising not to give representation even after the decisive Gurjar community has 5,000 to 65,000 voters. The Gurjar community made a significant contribution in ensuring the victory of state president Hemant Khandelwal in the Lok Sabha when he contested the by-election. This letter has been issued in the name of Ramesh Gurjar, the state convener of Sakal Gurjar Samaj. The letter states that not giving a place to their community is a public insult to the Gurjar community. The Gurjar community neither received respect in the district nor in the state committee. From this, it is clear that BJP does not need the Gurjar community. If BJP continues to insult the Gurjar community like this, then the community will strongly protest against it. On social media, another user, Arpit Pandey, uploaded a photo of former BJP state president VD Sharma and Rewa’s BJP leader Rajesh Pandey, and wrote that the state office bearers from Rewa and Sidhi who were in the executive committee of BJP state president Hemant Khandelwal are no longer in the committee. Also, in another post, it is written that Rajesh Pandey, I wish, VD Bhai Saab’s birthday hadn’t been celebrated.
