In Sidhi, a family killed their neighbour after not being invited to a Govardhan Puja. Suraj Mishra (27) was struck on the head with an axe, which got stuck. He was rushed to hospital but died during treatment. The police have arrested the three accused. Incident at Govardhan Puja The attack happened on Tuesday night in Rampur Naikin. Suraj Mishra, a resident of Khaddi village, was hosting Govardhan Puja at his home. He had not invited his neighbours, Yashoda Yadav, her husband Sukhlal Yadav, and their son Mole Yadav. After the puja ended around 9:30 PM, Yashoda Yadav began throwing stones outside Mishra’s house. Attack with axe When the Yadav family was asked to stop, they attacked the Mishra family with sticks and an axe. Suraj Mishra was hit on the head with the axe, which got stuck. Dial-112 was called immediately. Hospitalisation and death The police and medical team arrived at the scene and took Suraj to Rampur Naikin Hospital. Due to his critical condition, he was referred to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Rewa. Doctors removed the axe after around four hours of effort. Unfortunately, Suraj Mishra died during treatment on Wednesday afternoon. Police action The police have arrested the three accused: Yashoda Yadav, Sukhlal Yadav, and their son Mole Yadav. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
