Gold and silver prices have seen a sharp decline after Diwali. Gold has become cheaper by ₹5,677 per 10 gram (gm) from its all-time high and silver has dropped by ₹25,599 per kilogram (kg) from its record high. According to the India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold has decreased by ₹3,726 per unit to reach ₹1,23,907 per 10 gm. Earlier, it was at ₹1,27,633 on 20 October. Gold had made an all-time high of ₹1,29,584 per 10 gm on 17 October. Silver prices dropped by ₹10,549 in one day Silver prices today have fallen by ₹10,549 to reach ₹1,52,501 per kg. Previously, silver was at ₹1,63,050 per kilo. Silver had reached its all-time high of ₹1,78,100 per kg on 14 October. Reasons for recent decline in gold-silver prices This year gold increased by ₹47,745 and silver by ₹66,484 This year so far, gold price has increased by ₹47,745. On 31 December 2024, 10 grams of 24-carat gold was priced at ₹76,162, which has now reached ₹1,23,907. The price of silver has also increased by ₹66,484 during this period.
