11 accused jailed in ₹3 cr Seoni hawala case:All cops, including SDOP Pooja Pandey, sent to judicial custody

Eleven police personnel, including SDOP Pooja Pandey and SI Arpit Bhairam, were produced in court on Friday in connection with a Rs 3 crore hawala case in Seoni district. The court sent all the accused to judicial custody. The two-day remand of the accused ended on Friday. During the court appearance, SDOP Pooja Pandey arrived with her young child, drawing significant media attention. A heavy police presence was maintained at the courthouse. Background of the case The case came to light on October 9, during a routine checking on Seeladehi Highway under Lakhanwara police station. Police personnel allegedly attempted to seize a portion of Rs 2.96 crore in cash found in a car, prompting a criminal investigation. Multiple serious charges registered On October 14, an FIR was filed against the 11 police officers at Lakhanwara police station under sections relating to dacoity, kidnapping, and criminal conspiracy. A Special Investigation Team (SIT), formed under the guidance of the Inspector General (IG), is conducting an in-depth probe into the matter to ensure accountability.
