The pace ace of the Indian team, Jasprit Bumrah, is usually calm on and off the field. However, the 31-year-old lost his cool when the paparazzi blocked him while he was trying to get to his car at Mumbai airport on Wednesday. Notably, Bumrah is not part of India’s ODI squad for the Australia tour. Therefore, after sealing the two-match Test series against West Indies 2-0, he returned from Delhi to his home, Mumbai. Last night, when he came out of the airport, Bumrah seemed annoyed with the way photographers were mobbing him and blocking his way. Still, he expressed himself in a lower tone, stating: Maine bulaya hi nahi. Tum kisi aur ke liye aaye ho, aa rahe honge wo” (I have not asked you to come. You guys have come for someone else; they must be coming). One of the paparazzi even tried to handle the situation in a light way, further adding after noting Bumrah’s annoyed response. He said, “Bumrah bhai, aap bonus mein mile ho humein Diwali ke” (You are our Diwali bonus).” However, it was ineffective against Bumrah as the Indian pacer replied, “Arey bhai, meri gaadi ke paas jaane do mujhe (Please let me go to my car).” Notably, Jasprit Bumrah is part of India’s T20I plans for the Australia tour. However, he will not play the three-match ODI series down under.
