Indian stock markets rise at opening:Sensex reclaims 83,000 mark in early trade; Nifty jumps over 0.50 per cent

On the fourth trading day of the week on Thursday, 16 October 2025, the Sensex is trading 400 points up at 83,000. The Nifty is also up by about 100 points, at 25,400. 23 out of 30 Sensex stocks have risen: Axis Bank, Zomato and Kotak Bank are up by up to 3%.
