In a major crackdown on a Rs 3 crore hawala racket in Seoni district, six police personnel, including SDOP (CSP) Pooja Pandey, have been arrested. Following directions from DGP Kailash Makwana, cases were registered against 11 police officers, including the station in-charge, under serious charges such as robbery, unlawful detention, abduction, and criminal conspiracy. CM issues strict warning Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav took a strong stance on the Seoni case, stating that anyone violating the law, irrespective of their position, will not be spared. He confirmed that even officers at the DSP level have been arrested. “The law applies equally to police officers, staff, and civilians. Strict legal action will be taken against anyone found guilty,” the CM added. Details of police involvement The accused officers are charged under the following sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Lakhanwara Police Station: Following the incident, all 11 officers were suspended immediately. Police have taken SDOP Pooja Pandey, SI Arpit Bhairam, Constable Yogendra, Constable Neeraj, and Constable Jagdish into custody.
