The second day’s play of the Delhi Test between India and West Indies will start today at 9:30 AM. Team India will resume play at the Arun Jaitley Stadium from the score of 318/2. Yashasvi Jaiswal will continue his innings from 173 runs and captain Shubman Gill from 20 runs. India dominated from the first session on Day 1 Team India started to assert its dominance in the Delhi Test by winning the toss. On the batting-friendly pitch of the Arun Jaitley Stadium, the team chose to bat and began pushing West Indies onto the back foot. In the first session, the team lost only 1 wicket and scored 94 runs. However, KL Rahul got out after scoring 38 runs on Jomel Warrica’s delivery. After him, Yashasvi Jaiswal took control of the innings with Sai Sudharsan and took Team India past the 200-run mark. However, in the third session, Sudharshan missed out on his maiden century in Tests as he got out for 87 runs. He made a 193-run partnership for the second wicket with Jaiswal. Both wickets for West Indies were taken by left-arm spinner Jomel Warrican. Yashasvi crossed 150 runs. At the end of Day 1, he stayed unbeaten with 173 runs. Shubman scored 20 runs.
