In his address, he urged the new team to focus on collaboration, innovation and professional integrity. He stressed that regional chapters play a crucial role in shaping the future of the design profession, especially in emerging cities like Bhopal. Modi also underlined the importance of connecting design with sustainability, technology and community needs. His remarks set a tone of optimism and ambition for the newly formed committee. A Platform for Innovation and Professional Exchange Since its establishment in 2012, the IIID Bhopal Regional Centre has evolved into an active hub of creativity. It brings together more than 125 architects and interior designers who regularly engage in discussions, workshops and exhibitions aimed at elevating design standards. Members say the new leadership is expected to build on this momentum by promoting stronger industry-academia partnerships, encouraging young professionals and strengthening the dialogue between design and urban development. A Legacy of Design Leadership Since 1972 Founded in 1972, IIID is among India’s foremost professional bodies representing architects and interior designers. With over 8,500 members across 53 chapters in India and one in Dubai, the institute has long served as a bridge between creativity and practice. The evening concluded with a cultural segment that celebrated design through art, music and informal interaction—reflecting the institute’s spirit of collaboration and community.
