A fatal accident occurred near Nipania Dam in Shajapur district on Thursday night, when three motorcycles collided head-on. Three youths died on the spot, while two others sustained serious injuries. According to Mohan Barodia police, the incident took place around 9 PM. Injured victims were rushed to Mohan Barodia Hospital for treatment. Police identified the deceased as: The bodies have been sent for post-mortem, scheduled for Friday morning. Afterward, they will be handed over to the families. Meanwhile, relatives and villagers gathered at the hospital following news of the tragedy. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation. Accident in Shajapur Victim’s family: ‘They had gone to watch Dussehra’ One of the injured, Deepak, son of Kailash, was referred from Mohan Barodia to Shajapur district hospital, and later shifted by family to Dewas. He suffered severe head and eye injuries. A relative, Antar Singh Gurjar, revealed that Ravindra and Deepak had gone to watch the Dussehra festivities. Ravindra was a student in Indore, while Deepak, an eighth-grader, was riding with him on the same motorcycle. Panna: Speeding Bolero plows into Durga immersion procession In another tragic incident, a speeding Bolero ran over people participating in a Durga idol immersion procession in Panna district’s Pawai police station area. The accident occurred on Thursday evening between 7:30 and 8 PM near Khamaria turn on the Mohandra road. The vehicle first struck a motorcycle before losing control and ramming into the crowd. Around 14 to 15 people were injured in the mishap. Panna Superintendent of Police Nivedita Naidu confirmed that the Bolero driver has been arrested and that a detailed investigation is underway.
