On Thursday, at the Gwalior Police Line, Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar, along with IG, DIG, SP, ASP, and other police officers, performed weapons and vehicle worship with full rituals to mark Dussehra. This year, changes were introduced in police weapons worship across the state, with ministers and MLAs participating in 55 districts. At the ceremony, Tomar performed a ritual havan and worshipped the weapons. He and other officers then cut a kumda (white pumpkin) in a single stroke with a sword. Following the rituals, officers conducted celebratory firing with SLR rifles. IG, DIG, SP, Collector, ASP, and other officials each fired a round in keeping with the tradition. Tomar congratulated all police and district administration officers on Dussehra and wished them prosperity.
