South Korean company LG’s Indian unit, LG Electronics India Limited, is launching its IPO on October 7. In this issue, the company’s existing investors are selling 10.18 crore shares, valued at ₹15,000 crore. This will be a 15% stake in the company. The company is not issuing any fresh shares in the issue. For investors, this IPO will remain open until October 9. This is the second time an IPO of a South Korean company is coming to the Indian stock market. Last year in October, Hyundai Motors India’s IPO came out and the company was listed on BSE-NSE. How much money can be invested, minimum and maximum LG Electronics has set the IPO price band at ₹1080 – ₹1140. Retail investors can bid for a minimum of one lot, which will include 13 shares. If you apply for 1 lot at the upper price band of ₹1140 for the IPO, you will have to invest ₹14,820 for it. Meanwhile, retail investors can apply for a maximum of 13 lots or 169 shares. For this, investors will have to invest ₹1,92,660 as per the upper price band. 35% of the Issue Reserved for Retail Investors The company has reserved 50% of the IPO for Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs). Additionally, 35% is reserved for retail investors and the remaining 15% for Non-Institutional Investors (NIIs). Leading Company in the Consumer Electronics Sector LG Electronics India sells its products to B2C (consumer) and B2B (business) customers in India and abroad. The company manufactures and sells products such as washing machines, refrigerators, LED TV panels, inverters, air conditioners, and microwaves. Its manufacturing units are located in Noida and Pune. LG Electronics was founded in 1958 in South Korea under the name GoldStar. It entered India in January 1997. As of February 2025, the company employs more than 2,300 people. According to June 2025, the company generated a revenue of ₹6,337 crore. During this period, it earned a profit of ₹513 crore.
