On the seventh day of Navratri, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav performed Kanya Poojan at the Vikramaditya Cloth Market in Ujjain. For the first time, the ceremony was held simultaneously at 121 locations across the city, with nearly 25,000 girls being worshipped during the festival. Speaking at the event, CM Yadav highlighted Ujjain’s rich cultural and spiritual history. He said, “Reflecting on Ujjain’s two-thousand-year-old heritage, Mother Harsiddhi is believed to reside in Ujjain at night and in Gujarat during the day. During the evening Aarti, one feels the swings start moving on their own, symbolizing the divine presence. Navratri inspires us to accumulate strength. A home is incomplete without daughters, as they uphold its dignity and prosperity. Sisters and daughters make our households and lineage flourish—this tradition has continued for generations.” Prominent attendees included Rajya Sabha MP Umesh Nath Maharaj, MLAs Anil Jain Kaluheda and Satish Malviya, Mayor Mukesh Tatwal, Municipal Chairperson Kalawati Yadav, and BJP city president Sanjay Agarwal. Foundation laying of ₹355 crore development projects Following the Kanya Poojan, CM Yadav will lay the foundation for development projects worth ₹355 crore, including: The foundation-laying ceremony near the Police Control Room will be attended by Minister in Charge Gautam Tetwal, Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh, AYUSH Minister Inder Singh Parmar, MP Anil Firozia, Rajya Sabha MP Umesh Nath Maharaj, and other senior officials and representatives. CM meets families of police officers affected by car accident CM Yadav visited the family of Ashok Sharma, SHO of Unhel police station, who died in a car accident. Expressing condolences, he handed over a ₹1 crore cheque to the family. He also met the families of SI Madanlal Ninama and Constable Aarti Pal, providing them with financial assistance.
