Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch BSNL’s 4G network today. This network will be rolled out at 98,000 sites across the country. This network has been developed entirely using indigenous technology. Once the service is launched, all telecom operators in India will be equipped with 4G. Companies like Jio, Airtel, VI are already on 4G and 5G networks. With this, India will join the list of countries that develop their own telecom technology. It is cloud-based and has a future-ready design. This means it will shift to 5G with just software updates. No major hardware changes will be required. Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has also said that it is seamlessly upgradeable to 5G. This means that after 4G launch, 5G preparation will happen soon. According to the report, Jio added the highest number of new mobile customers at 4,83,000 in July. Airtel added 4,64,000 new mobile users in July. Meanwhile, Vodafone Idea has seen a decline in subscribers. Vodafone Idea (Vi) lost 3,59,000 mobile customers in July.
