A truck driver fled with the goods of over 18 traders in Indore. The incident came to light when transporter Manish Yadav lodged a complaint at Raoji Bazaar police station. Manish, who runs ‘Yadav Road Lines’ from Gaadi Adda, had dispatched a mini-truck to Manpur on September 21. The vehicle was being driven by Vishal alias Sonu Tomar, a resident of Barwah, who had joined the transport line barely a week earlier. Suspicion arose when no toll tax message was received from the route. When Yadav tried contacting Vishal, his phone was found switched off. Hours later, he claimed that the truck had broken down. Truck found empty, driver missing When Yadav reached the location given by Vishal, he found the truck parked with the keys still inside but completely empty. CCTV footage later showed the accused abandoning the truck at a petrol pump on Cantt Road before fleeing. Goods of multiple traders stolen According to police, the stolen consignment belonged to several firms, including Shankar Traders, Jai Ambe Traders, Sindh Traders, Shyam Traders, Subhash Fruits, Totla Brothers, Sachhanand Traders, Krishna Traders, Satish Traders, Swadeshi Abdul Traders, Rani Electric, Service Provision, Hajari Mal, Shri Phalodi, Satguru Traders, Agrawal Furniture, Sagar Agro, Nitin Traders, and Janvi Traders. Apart from the goods, Vishal also fled with Yadav’s motorcycle and a mobile phone, which he had obtained under false pretenses. Joint probe underway A case has been registered at Raoji Bazaar police station, and a joint investigation is being carried out by teams from Raoji Bazaar, Rajendra Nagar, and Dwarkapuri police stations.
