Killer ‘Guru Baba’: Calcutta HC commutes death to life term

The Calcutta High Court commuted the death sentence of Sunil Das, alias Hari Baba, convicted of murdering a woman and her daughter, to life imprisonment without remission for 40 years. Hari Baba, who extorted money under the guise of curing ailments, murdered the victims after they refused to pay him more money.
