In a significant operation, security forces neutralized a key naxalite leader, Amit Hansda, in an encounter in Jharkhand’s Chaibasa on Sunday. Hansda, a Zonal Commander, had a reward of Rs 10 lakh on his head. The joint operation by the COBRA battalion and district police also led to the recovery of weapons, including an SLR rifle.
